Ravens cut cornerback Chris Johnson

The Ravens have cut cornerback Chris Johnson after the veteran had difficulty getting on the field so far during training camp, the team tweeted this afternoon.

Johnson, 33, has been dealing with migraines that kept him from practicing and left him scratched from last week’s preseason win over the Falcons.

The 2003 seventh-round draft pick appeared in four games for the Ravens in 2012, forcing a fumble and making seven tackles.

He has 177 tackles, 49 passes defensed, eight interceptions and four forced fumbles in nine seasons with the Packers, Rams, Raiders and Ravens.

Johnson wasn’t expected to play a significant role in the secondary with Lardarius Webb healthy, Corey Graham slated to start and former first-rounder Jimmy Smith on the roster.
