After missing the last three games, wideout Jacoby Jones appears to be nearing a return.
Jones, who was ruled out of each of the last three games with a sprained knee, has been upgraded to questionable for this week’s road contest in Miami. Jones was a limited participant in practice all week after sitting out since the opener.
“I’d say he made a lot of progress, significant (progress),” coach John Harbaugh told reporters. “He practiced the whole day today. He looked pretty good.”
The Ravens ruled nobody out for Sunday’s game and have no one listed as probable. Defensive tackle Terrence Cody (knee) and center Ryan Jensen (foot) are doubtful.
Eight players joined Jones as questionable: linebacker Arthur Brown (shoulder), wideout Marlon Brown (thigh), running back Shaun Draughn (ankle), linebacker Albert McClellan (shoulder), defensive tackle Marcus Spears (knee), wideout Brandon Stokley (thigh), wideout Deonte Thompson (concussion) and cornerback Lardarius Webb (thigh).
Harbaugh also provided an update on tight end Dennis Pitta (hip), who will be eligible to return to practice in two weeks after being placed on injured reserve with a designation to return before the season.
Pitta was catching balls from a machine on Friday in Owings Mills.
“I’ll be honest with you, I’m pretty impressed,” Harbaugh told reporters. “He’s running quite a bit in here on these machines, and as you said, he’s out here catching passes. That’s a ways away, time-wise. Every time I see Dennis, I guess I have mixed emotions. I’m happy that he’s doing so well, and I’m not happy that he’s not already out there playing right now. He’s doing a good job.”
Back to the game statuses for Sunday, the Dolphins have ruled out cornerback Dimitri Patterson (groin).
Receiver Brandon Gibson (ankle), safety Don Jones (elbow), linebacker Jason Trusnik (rib) and defensive end Cameron Wake (knee) are questionable. Probable for the contest are cornerback Nolan Carroll (ankle), safety Chris Clemons (glute), former Ravens linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (knee), linebacker Jonathan Freeney (shoulder), linebacker Koa Misi (shoulder) and defensive tackle Paul Soliai (knee).
