Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome was taken to a local hospital after Sunday’s game, leaving Soldier Field in an ambulance, according to multiple reports.
The Ravens issues a statement about Newsome’s condition: “Ozzie Newsome did not feel well after today’s game and a team doctor recommended that Ozzie not fly tonight.”
WNST reported that the 57-year-old Newsome was “sweating really, really bad” after the game and that he was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
Newsome has been the Ravens GM since 2002 after a Hall of Fame career with the Browns.
Update: The Ravens announced this morning that Newsome is on his way back to Baltimore and said he’s “feeling fine.”
He is expected back in the Ravens’ offices and on the treadmill soon.
