But Baltimore hasn't ruled him out, listing Dumervil as doubtful for for the contest against the Vikings. He has appeared in all 12 games this season and leads the Ravens with 9.5 sacks.
Coach John Harbaugh told reporters that Dumervil will be a game-time decision.
"Earlier in the week, we felt he was going to make it," Harbaugh said. "He's not a guy that has to practice to play, so if he goes out there and feels like he can go, he will. If he doesn't, he won't."
Baltimore has ruled safety Brynden Trawick (ankle) out, however, while four others are questionable: defensive end Chris Canty (shoulder), cornerback Asa Jackson (thigh), receiver Brandon Stokley (knee) and cornerback Lardarius Webb (abs). Cornerback Jimmy Smith (concussion) is probable.
Tight end Dennis Pitta (hip) isn't listed on the Ravens' injury report, as he remains on injured reserve. The team has until 4 p.m. Saturday to add him to the active roster, giving him an opportunity to return Sunday.
Harbaugh told the media Pitta has a "reasonable chance" to play against the Vikings.
"I would say we're on schedule to see what happens. We'll see," Harbaugh said. "... He seemed good. It's just going to be how he gets through the week. The doctors still have to look at it and make sure he is going to be sound and solid. If they feel good about it, then he should be OK. I don't want to say that he is going to play and then him not play, or say that he is not going to play, and then he plays. I think he has a reasonable chance; we'll just have to see."
Minnesota has ruled out three players, including quarterback Christian Ponder (concussion), meaning Matt Cassel is in line to start under center. Cornerback Josh Robinson (chest) and tight end Kyle Rudolph (foot) are also out.
Running back Adrian Peterson (groin), linebacker Larry Dean (knee) and safety Jamarca Sanford (ankle) are questionable. Seven others are probable: defensive end Jared Allen (finger), tailback Matt Asiata (shoulder), defensive tackle Fred Evans (knee), defensive tackle Sharif Floyd (illness), linebacker Chad Greenway (wrist), defensive end Everson Griffen (toe) and safety Andrew Sendejo (toe).
