Falcons list star WR White as questionable

During a conference call with Baltimore reporters yesterday afternoon, Atlanta head coach Mike Smith sounded confident that wide receiver Roddy White would play in Thursday night’s game against the Ravens despite a knee injury.

Today, the Falcons listed White as questionable after he took part in practice for the first time this week.

White, who ranks second in the NFL with 796 yards and has added five touchdowns, missed practice Monday and Tuesday, but took part in today’s session in a limited capacity.

If he is unable to play, the Ravens’ secondary will catch a huge break.

For the Ravens, as expected, S Tom Zbikowski (heel) has been ruled out of tomorrow night’s game.

In addition to White, the Falcons also list starting C Todd McClure (knee) and LB Sean Witherspoon (knee) as questionable.

Reserve TE Justin Peele (groin) has been ruled out, while WR Brian Finneran (knee/ribs), LB Curtis Lofton (knee), RB Jason Snelling (knee) and CB Brian Williams (hamsting) are all probable for Atlanta.
