Ed Reed misses practice with neck injury

After having a full practice yesterday, safety Ed Reed did not participate at all in today's session because of a neck injury.

Reed has had a history of neck problems in the past, so the fact that he suddenly pops up on the injury report with a neck-related issue is at least a little concerning.

Other than the seven-time Pro Bowl safety, the Ravens had three players miss practice today - linebacker Prescott Burgess (illness), linebacker Tavares Gooden (shoulder) and safety Tom Zbikowski (back).

Wide receiver/kick returner David Reed (wrist/head) was limited in practice for the second straight day.

Center Matt Birk (knee) was upgraded to full participation after sitting out yesterday's session. Others listed on the injury report as having a full practice are tight end Todd Heap (hamstring), wide receiver Derrick Mason (ankle/abs), tight end Dennis Pitta (concussion) and cornerback Fabian Washington (back).

For the Bengals, the same three starters who missed practice yesterday sat out today.

Those three are tight end Jermaine Gresham (knee), cornerback Jonathan Joseph (ankle) and wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (ankle).

As I mentioned earlier, Ochocinco has said that he won't be playing on Sunday, and won't travel with the Bengals to Baltimore.
