Suggs gives in, votes Brady to Pro Bowl

Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs rarely misses an opportunity to get in a shot at Tom Brady, be it on the field or off it.

That trend continued today.

Last week, Suggs said that Brady wouldn't get his Pro Bowl vote, despite the fact that the Patriots quarterback has thrown 34 touchdown passes to just four interceptions and has led his team to the NFL's best record.

This afternoon, Suggs was asked if he followed through on that comment.

"Nah, man. Let's go ahead and let the cat out of the bag: We did vote for him," Suggs said. "We've got our quarrels and our beefs but you've got to respect play. It was kind of decided as a unit who we vote for, so we did vote for him."

Suggs then got in one final shot at the quarterback he loves to hate. He pointed out that because the game is played the week before the Super Bowl, players that are Super Bowl-bound won't be heading to Hawaii.

"One of us is not going to get to play in the game, and I like the opportunity of that." Suggs said. "I hope he has a good time in the Pro Bowl, and hopefully, (if) everything goes according to plan, I'll be watching him from Dallas."

You've got to admire Suggs' consistency. If he decides he's going to talk some trash about someone, he'll keep going until the year is done.

Meanwhile, talking about his own Pro Bowl selection, Suggs said he feels somewhat vindicated after having his worst season as a pro in 2009.

"I said I wasn't going to have a season like I did last year, and I came back and made it to the Pro Bowl," Suggs said. "I'm still young. I just turned 28. I want to become one of the greatest. I'm just going to keep working at it and wherever I end up, I'll be satisfied."
