First, the good news:
The two Ravens starters listed as questionable for today's game - center Matt Birk and cornerback Chris Carr - are both active and will play today against the Steelers.
Running back Ray Rice, who came down ill yesterday and was reportedly vomiting at the team hotel, is also active.
Now, the not-so-good news:
Wide receiver/kickoff returner David Reed, who led the league in kick return average this season, is inactive again today because of a wrist injury. This is the fourth straight game that Reed has missed since getting injured in Week 15 against the Saints.
Safety Tom Zbikowski is also inactive today. Zbikowski has been battling a bulging disc in his back.
Here's the Ravens' full list of inactives: Reed, Zbikowski, linebacker Jason Phillips, defensive tackles Lamar Divens and Arthur Jones, guard/center Bryan Mattison, and tight ends Davon Drew and Dennis Pitta.
For the Steelers, safety Troy Polamalu will play despite being limited this week by an Achilles injury.
As expected, starting defensive end Aaron Smith will not suit up for Pittsburgh. He's missed most of the season with a triceps injury.
Back with more notes in a bit.
