While safety Ed Reed and center Matt Birk returned to practice today after sitting out Wednesday's session, defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and linebacker Terrell Suggs both missed their second straight day.
Ngata (thigh) and Suggs (knee) got another day of rest today, but defensive coordinator Greg Mattison confirmed that neither is in jeopardy of missing Sunday's playoff game against the Chiefs.
"They're boycotting. They don't like the cold weather," Mattison joked. "No, it's not a concern. They'll both be fine. It's us knowing where we are in the season, knowing we've had a lot of football games, and it's best to get them 100-percent rather than [having them] running around.
Reed (chest) was upgraded to limited participation today. Joining him in the "limited" category are linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (head), linebacker Tavares Gooden (shoulder), linebacker Jameel McClain (back), cornerback Josh Wilson (head), safety Tom Zbikowski (back).
Birk (knee) had a full practice today, as did wide receiver Derrick Mason (abs/ankle), offensive tackle Michael Oher (knee/ankle) and wide receiver David Reed (wrist).
For the Chiefs, wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, who missed practice yesterday with an illness, practiced in full today. That's big for Kansas City.
Offensive guard Brian Waters (illness) and wide receiver Quinten Lawrence (illness) both missed practice.
