Ravens nearing contract extension with Harbaugh

John Harbaugh currently has one year left on his contract as Ravens head coach, but he’ll be receiving a contract extension sometime in the very near future.

Ravens president Dick Cass said today that the team is nearing an extension to lock up Harbaugh for multiple seasons.

“We’re working on an extension for John and expect to have it done soon,” Cass told reporters today.

Asked during his end of season press conference if he was excited to get his extension locked up, Harbaugh smiled.

“I’m excited about being here,” Harbaugh said. “I’m really grateful and appreciative to be the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens and to be associated with Baltimore football.

“Now three years here, kind of soaking this in and being a part of this fanbase is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I love the Baltimore Ravens fans.”
