The Ravens are banged up entering the postseason, as a number of key contributors have suffered various bumps and bruises over the last couple weeks.
That left me with a pen and pad in my hand out at practice today, taking roll call as the Ravens came outside and started to get into their afternoon drills.
The good news for Ravens fans is that left tackle Michael Oher, who suffered a sprained right knee on Sunday, was out taking part in practice. Oher was limping around the locker room earlier, but he suited up and got some reps in positional drills.
Wide receiver/kick returner David Reed appeared to lightly participate in practice today. I’ll have more on Reed’s wrist injury shortly.
Safety Ed Reed (rib injury) did not make an appearance during the open media portion of practice. Fellow veterans Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata also were not out during the time we’re allowed to watch drills.
Center Matt Birk showed up without a helmet and did not appear to be practicing, while safety Tom Zbikowski (back) and linebacker Tavares Gooden (shoulder) were standing off to the side watching special teams drills.
Zbikowski took part in some light individual drills as he watched his teammates practice.
