Zorn heading to K.C.

Less than three weeks after being fired by the Ravens, Jim Zorn has agreed to become the Chiefs’ quarterbacks coach.

I guess Joe Flacco can send a gift basket to Kansas City.

This will be Zorn’s third stop in as many years; he spent the 2010 season as the Ravens’ quarterbacks coach, but did not click with offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and the coaching staff, and was let go.

Zorn spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons as the Redskins’ head coach.

I guess the mid-Atlantic area hasn’t treated him all that well over the last couple seasons.

Zorn’s dismissal in Baltimore did not sit well with Flacco, who publicly voiced his frustration with Zorn’s firing. Flacco had previously called Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti and head coach John Harbaugh to offer his endorsement of the quarterbacks coach.

The Ravens will have both Cameron and offensive assistant Craig Ver Steeg handle the quarterbacks this upcoming season.
