A Smith fell to the Ravens in Round One.
That script repeated itself in Round Two.
Maryland wide receiver Torrey Smith will be staying in the area, as he was the Ravens’ selection with the 58th overall pick.
Smith gives the Ravens a vertical threat in the passing game that they’ve lacked for years. The Maryland product had an unofficial time of 4.37 in the 40-yard dash at the Combine, and is known for his big-play potential.
He doesn’t present any of the character concerns that Jimmy Smith, the Ravens’ first-round pick does. Torrey Smith is considered a standup guy on and off the field.
