Carr, Smith ruled out for Sunday; Grubbs doubtful

The Ravens will be without two cornerbacks Sunday against Tennessee.

Rookie Jimmy Smith has been ruled out because of his high left ankle sprain, as has Chris Carr, who is battling a hamstring injury.

That will leave Baltimore with a cornerback rotation featuring Cary Williams, Lardarius Webb and Domonique Foxworth. Rookie fifth-round pick Chykie Brown will likely be active to provide depth, and safety Haruki Nakamura can slide over and take on the role of nickel back in a pinch (as he did last Sunday against Pittsburgh).

Starting left guard Ben Grubbs, who said today he hoped to play despite missing practice this whole week because of a toe injury, is listed as doubtful. If Grubbs cannot play against the Titans, Andre Gurode is expected to start in his place.

Wide receiver Lee Evans (ankle) and fullback Vonta Leach (foot) are both listed as probable. Leach was added to the injury report today, but he had a full practice.

For the Titans, starting strong safety Chris Hope is doubtful with a shoulder injury. Starting defensive end William Hayes (shoulder) and reserve wide receiver Damian Williams (hamstring) are questionable, while defensive end Jason Jones (knee) defensive end Derrick Morgan (knee) and running back Javon Ringer (back) are probable.
