Foxworth, Grubbs inactive for Ravens; Jackson to play for St. Louis

Unable to perform at the level the Ravens need of him, cornerback Domonique Foxworth is inactive for today's game against the Rams.

Foxworth still isn't right after tearing his ACL last July, and has admitted that he's not playing near his pre-injury level. As a result, Foxworth has been benched today, allowing him some time to let the knee rest up and get back closer to full strength.

The Ravens are able to give Foxworth the day off because cornerback Chris Carr has recovered from a nagging hamstring injury and will play today.

With Foxworth and Jimmy Smith out, the Ravens will go with a cornerback rotation of Lardarius Webb, Cary Williams, Carr, Danny Gorrer and rookie Chykie Brown, who is active for the first time in his career.

Meanwhile, starting left guard Ben Grubbs is inactive today because of a toe injury, and Mark LeVoir - who filled in for Grubbs last week - has also been scratched. That means that Andre Gurode, the former Cowboys center, will start at left guard today for Baltimore.

Here's the full list of Ravens inactives: WR David Reed, CB Jimmy Smith, CB Domonique Foxworth, G Ben Grubbs, T Mark LeVoir, WR Lee Evans, OLB Sergio Kindle.

For the Rams, running back Steven Jackson is active and will play today after battling a quad injury suffered early in St. Louis' regular season opener.

Jackson might not be full strength, but he's dynamic enough of a back that the Ravens will have their hands full today.

Here are the Rams' inactives: WR Danny Amendola, S Jermale Hines, RB Quinn Porter, LB Jabara Williams, TE Stephen Spach, WR Greg Salas, DE C.J. Ah You.
