Pollard fined $10,000, plus Friday's Ravens-Cardinals injury report

On Wednesday, Ravens safety Bernard Pollard said that he didn't expect to get fined for his hit on Jaguars running back Deji Karim during Monday night's game.

Turns out, Pollard got that fine after all.

Pollard has been docked $10,000 by the NFL for hitting a defenseless receiver in the head/neck area, according to a source.

Given how confident Pollard was in his stance that the hit was legal, I expect the safety to appeal the fine.

The final injury report of the week is in, and things look very much as you might expect.

Four players have been ruled out after not practicing all week: wide receiver Lee Evans (ankle), guard Ben Grubbs (toe), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring) and running back Anthony Allen (thigh).

Cornerback Danny Gorrer - who has served as the Ravens' nickel back the last couple weeks - is listed as questionable with a thigh injury. Gorrer did not practice today after being limited yesterday.

The Ravens list four defensive backs as probable: safety Ed Reed (neck), safety Tom Zbikowski (concussion), cornerback Chris Carr (hamstring) and Chykie Brown (illness). Both Reed and Brown were limited today.

For the Cardinals, starting safety Kerry Rhodes (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game.

Tight end Todd Heap (hamstring), linebacker Joey Porter (knee) and running back Beanie Wells (knee) are all listed for questionable after being limited during today's session.
