Ravens re-sign LB Burgess, waive OT LeVoir

With linebacker Dannell Ellerbe dealing with a lingering hamstring injury, the Ravens have decided to bring back linebacker Prescott Burgess.

If you feel like we've been down this road before ... well, it's because we have.

Ellerbe initially suffered the hamstring injury in the Ravens' Week 3 win over the Rams. Baltimore subsequently signed Burgess, who they had released in their final roster cuts at the end of the preseason.

Burgess was then released a week later when the Ravens signed cornerback/kick returner Bryan McCann.

Now, Ellerbe is hurt again, and Burgess is back.

A five-year veteran, Burgess led the Ravens in special-teams tackles the past two seasons.

A corresponding roster move has not yet been announced.

UPDATE: Now it has. The Ravens announce that they've waived offensive tackle Mark LeVoir to make room for Burgess.

LeVoir was signed by the Ravens back in August after being let go by the Patriots.
