The Ravens added another body to their defensive backfield today, claiming Emanuel Cook off waivers from the Jets.
To make room for Cook, the team waived undrafted rookie linebacker Josh Bynes, who was added to the 53-man roster prior to last Thursday's game against the 49ers.
After going undrafted out of South Carolina in 2009, Cook bounced around, seeing time with the Jets and Buccaneers during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He also had a stint in the UFL with the Hartford Colonials in 2010 before re-signing with the Jets in December of that season.
In 12 career NFL games over the last two seasons (including eight this year), Cook has one tackle and forced a fumble from scrimmage in his career, and has added six special teams tackles.
Bynes saw action on special teams against the 49ers.
