Linebacker Ray Lewis was not participating during the open media portion of practice again today, marking his third straight day missed due to a toe injury, but head coach John Harbaugh is not willing to rule Lewis out for Sunday’s game against the Browns.
“I feel like there’s a chance,” Harbaugh said of Lewis’ status. “We’ll just see how it goes.”
Lewis has sat out the Ravens’ last two games because of what Harbaugh called a sprained toe or turf toe, and while the team remains hopeful that he’ll be able to suit up in Cleveland, it appears likely his streak of consecutive games missed will get bumped to three.
Fortunately for the Ravens, inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe has had full practices this week, and appears recovered from a hamstring injury which has plagued him for s good part of this season.
“Dannell progressed well,” Harbaugh said.
Cornerback Chris Carr (back) was not participating during the open media portion of practice today, and like Lewis, he appears unlikely to play Sunday.
Carr was limited in practice on Wednesday, but he did not practice at all yesterday.
