Lewis inactive yet again

For the third straight week, Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis has been declared a gameday inactive because of a toe injury.

This marks this first time since 2005 that Lewis has been forced to miss three straight games.

With Lewis out, third-year inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe will get the start today against the Browns. Ellerbe missed last Thursday's game against the 49ers because of a hamstring injury, but he's active today and will start in Lewis' place.

Newly signed defensive back Emanuel Cook is active for the Ravens today. Cook is expected to contribute on special teams.

Cornerback Chris Carr will miss his second straight game because of a back injury. The veteran was ruled out for today's game on Friday.

Here are the Ravens' inactives: LB Ray Lewis, WR LaQuan Williams, CB Chris Carr, LB Sergio Kindle, WR Tandon Doss, CB Chykie Brown, RB Anthony Allen.

Here are the Browns' inactives: QB Thaddeus Lewis, S T.J. Ward, OL Steve Vallos, OL Oniel Cousins, TE Jordan Cameron, LB Quinton Spears, DL Auston English.

Too bad. With Cousins inactive, his much-anticipated reunion against his former team will have to be put on hold.
