Yanda among four Ravens not spotted at practice

While the Ravens had a few injured players return to practice today, they also were without arguably their top offensive lineman.

Right guard Marshal Yanda was not participating during the open media portion of today's session. Yanda suffered rib and thigh contusions during Saturday's win over the Browns. Head coach John Harbaugh referred to Yanda's injuries as "good bruises" on Monday, meaning they're fairly substantial.

Also not practicing today were linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (concussion), defensive tackle Art Jones (undisclosed) and wide receiver Anquan Boldin (knee surgery).

Ellerbe was wearing sunglasses when he walked through the locker room today, indicating that he still is experiencing some sensitivity to light.

The good news for the Ravens is that kicker Billy Cundiff (left calf), cornerback Cary Williams (concussion) and defensive end Cory Redding (ankle) all returned to practice today.

Williams has apparently been cleared to begin practicing, although it's not clear whether he's yet been cleared for contact. Regardless, it's a good sign that he's able to practice this early in the week, especially with the Ravens preparing to face Cincinnati's dangerous passing attack this Sunday.

Redding said today that he plans to play Sunday after missing last weekend's game against Cleveland.

Also, new offensive tackle D.J. Jones is wearing No. 71, for those of you who care about these type of things.
