Pregame notes from a sun-drenched M&T Bank Stadium

Linebacker Jameel McClain, who is a game-time decision because of an MCL sprain, was out on the field a bit ago doing some cutting and testing out his injured knee.

He looked to be moving OK, and shook hands with the coaches and trainers watching on as he came off the field. McClain said on Friday that he expects to suit up today.

Inside linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, who also is battling an injury, was out doing some sprinting, as well. Given what I saw this week and the fact that the Ravens added linebacker Josh Bynes to the active roster yesterday, I actually expected Ayanbadejo to sit out today's game, but he also looked to be moving around well.

We'll see if McClain and Ayanbadejo are active this afternoon.

Commissioner Roger Goodell is here today, and he took part in a fan Q&A session before the game. I'll pass along quotes from Goodell in a bit.

Former Ravens fullback Le'Ron McClain will be in attendance today watching his old team play. McClain will be sitting in the stands watching the action.

He'll be treated to some cold, yet reasonable weather here today. It's brisk, but the sun is out at M&T Bank Stadium and while the wind is swirling a bit, it's not whipping through the stadium the way I thought it might.

The Ravens are wearing their purple jerseys and black pants today. Houston will be in white jerseys and blue pants.

Back with more pregame notes in just a bit.
