Ravens make Osemele their second selection (updated)

The Ravens upgraded their defense with their first pick in this year’s draft. With the second pick, they added to their offensive line.

The Ravens selected offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele out of Iowa State with the 60th overall selection in the draft.

Osemele is a 6-foot-6 333 pounder.

The Ravens have been looking for an offensive line upgrade after losing Ben Grubbs to the Saints. Bryant McKinnie is also a stopgap at left tackle.

Update: The Ravens traded up in the third round with the Falcons to select running back Bernard Pierce from Temple.

Pierce is a big back that will backup Ray Rice.

The Ravens gave up the 91st and 164th picks for the right to move up.
