With the Ravens' season completed, the opponents on the schedule have come to a close. So, with nothing left to write about Baltimore's 2011 opponents, here's another look at the list of the Ravens' 2012 opponents. Hey, it's never too early to start tailgating for next season. Home: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, New

I'm guessing the Patriots are willing to buy Billy Cundiff a drink. Nobody in Baltimore is certainly ready to give anything to the Ravens kicker, except maybe some rough physical contact. Cundiff missed the game-tying field goal in the final seconds, clinching a 23-20 win for the top-seeded Patriots. New England moves on to face the winner of the NFC championship between the New York

We've reached halftime in Foxborough and through two quarters the Patriots hold a 13-10 lead over the Ravens. It's been a so-so half for Tom Brady and Co. but the defense has done a nice job of stopping Baltimore's biggest threat, running back Ray Rice. For Brady, he's made plays, but has made several mistakes, too. He has 146 yards on 14-of-24 passing, but missed

This doesn't have anything to do with the Ravens, but in light of the team's matchup with the Patriots for the AFC championship, I thought I would pass along current Patriots offensive coordinator and Penn State football coach Bill O'Brien's words on Joe Paterno's passing. "It is with great sadness that I am compelled to deliver this message of condolence and tribute to a great

He may be the man picked to replace legendary college football coach Joe Paterno, but for now, Bill O'Brien is completely invested in the Patriots. O'Brien is set to take the reigns at Penn State, just as soon as his duties as offensive coordinator for New England are finished. And while he's excited at the opportunity to lead one of college football's most historic -

It's easy for Ravens fans to take comfort in their team's last playoff showdown against the Patriots. Back in 2009, the Ravens traveled into New England during the AFC wild card round and proceeded to dismantle the home team, 33-14. That game provided the script for how to dominate the Patriots. While the defense allowed 33 points - 24 in the first quarter alone -

The Ravens have made it to the AFC championship. It wasn't pretty against Houston, but a win is a win. Now, the purple and black are one win away from a trip to the Super Bowl. Standing in their way are the Patriots. Let's take a closer look at 'em, shall we? Earning that top seed: During the regular season the Patriots racked up 13

It's a shame T.J. Yates will be remembered for his performance in Baltimore. Yes, he made mistakes, three of them, in fact. Yes, all three were costly, as the first two interceptions led to points for the Ravens, while the other clinched Baltimore's 20-13 victory Sunday. But underneath those glaring miscues is a rookie quarterback, one who began the season as his team's third-string option,

If there's one thing a road playoff underdog can't do it's turn the ball over. Yet as the Texans trail the Ravens 17-13 at halftime, it's a pair of turnovers that have made the difference. A 60-yard return from Danieal Manning on the opening kickoff gave the Texans an immediate boost, as the return helped set up a 40-yard field goal, giving rookie quarterback T.J.

The Houston Texans have had a banner year. They finished 10-6, captured their first-ever division title, followed that up with their first-ever postseason victory and are still in the hunt for the city's first Super Bowl championship. Texans fans are beaming with pride, and rightfully so. But are they now becoming Texas' top professional football team? At least somebody seems to think so. Ronald Martin,

Derrick Mason, who spent six seasons with the Ravens and part of the 2011 season with the Texans, announced his retirement Monday. "I'm done," Mason told Scout.com. "I won't be playing football. I leave it healthy and able to run and walk and not take a half-hour or 45 minutes to get out of bed. Me leaving now, even though it didn't happen the way

Every big game comes with distractions. It's just the way it is. Whether it's the pressure of advancing in the postseason or the latest coaching speculation, rumors and gossip accompany nearly every team's weekly practice schedule. For Houston, the distraction du jour comes in the form of one of its coaches, not head coach Gary Kubiak, mind you, but defensive coordinator and former head coach

Each week during the regular season, we took a closer look at the Ravens' upcoming opponent. Now that it's playoff time, we'll do the same, as Baltimore prepares to host its first playoff game since 2006. For the second time this year, the Houston Texans will come to Charm City, only this time with a spot in the AFC championship on the line. A lot

The Ravens don't have to worry about this weekend. They're safe for at least one more round. That's the reward for winning a division title and one of the conference's top two seeds. There will be at least one more game on the schedule, only against whom? As the No. 2 seed, the Ravens will face either the Houston Texans, Denver Broncos or Pittsburgh Steelers.

The good news, Bengals fans, is your team is heading to the playoffs. The bad news, Bengals fans, is they're not exactly soaring high into the postseason. Despite a late comeback attempt, Cincinnati lost to Baltimore 24-16 on Sunday, finishing the regular season at 9-7. Because of the Broncos' loss to Kansas City, the Bengals did clinch the AFC's final wild card spot. The first

Both the Ravens and the Bengals have something at stake today. Baltimore is trying to win its division, Cincinnati trying simply to get into the postseason. Through one half, however, it's been a dud for the Bengals. They trail the Ravens 17-3 at halftime and while production has seen flashes of potential, the result has been just one scoring drive. Things couldn't have started out
