Monday was perhaps the most eventful day of training camp to date, as offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie arrived and tight end Dennis Pitta suffered an injury that could keep him out a while. McKinnie, who had been placed on the reserve/did not report list, was reinstated when he got to town. But because of the nature of his absence, he was reportedly placed on the

Look at Ray Lewis' age (37), the amount of mileage he's put on his body in the NFL (222 regular season games plus 12 more in the playoffs), the number of tackles he's made (1,529), passes he's picked (31), fumbles he's forced (18) and recovered (19), and you might come to an interesting conclusion. The Ravens' seven-time All-Pro linebacker isn't human at all. How can

The Ravens have placed offensive lineman Bryant McKinnie on the reserve/did not report list, according to multiple reports. McKinnie, who has had difficulties getting himself in condition for NFL play the last two seasons (first with the Minnesota Vikings and now with Baltimore), has not yet joined the Ravens at training camp. "He contacted us through a representative. He is dealing with an issue right

The Ravens made yet another acquisition before getting through their first full-squad workout, signing wide receiver Logan Payne and cutting undrafted rookie fullback Jamison Berryhill. Payne, 27, has played in two career games (two starts), both in 2008 with the Seattle Seahawks. He was on the New York Jets' roster last season, but didn't appear in a game. He has three catches for 39 yards

Nine days after barely beating the deadline to agree to long-term contract with the Ravens, Ray Rice walked up to the podium at the Under Armour Performance Center and stated the obvious. "I can afford to take you all out to dinner now," he said. Rice probably could've done that before receiving a five-year, $40 million contract from the Ravens. But he could go ahead

After creating more than his fair share of questions this offseason, Ed Reed walked through the doors of the Under Armour Performance Center on Wednesday and reported to training camp. Reed kept everyone guessing about whether that would happen, saying at one minute he wasn't committed to the game and the next that he wanted to come back. So whether he actually would be patrolling

On the day veterans were to report to training camp, the Ravens added three more to their roster Wednesday. The team signed offensive guard Cord Howard, outside linebacker Darryl Blackstock and middle linebacker Ricky Brown. Howard, 25, spent the last two seasons with the Buffalo Bills, but missed all of last season with a shoulder injury. He played in 10 games, starting four, in 2010.

The Ravens might not be done shaping the roster they'll take into training camp, as they took a look at veteran offensive guard Eric Steinbach and others Tuesday at the Under Armour Performance Center, their training facility in Owings Mills. Steinbach, 32, started 124 of his 125 career games over eight seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns. He hasn't played since 2010, however.

For purple-and-black die-hards, those who are riddled with Ravens love, one of the most wonderful times of the year is here. Training camp begins tomorrow when veterans report to the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills. On Tuesday, the Ravens had rookies, quarterbacks and injured veterans take part in what coach John Harbaugh called a "pre-training camp period," just to get ready for what's

Single-game tickets for the Ravens' 2012 home games will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Tickets can only be purchased online or by phone at 410-547-SEAT. Unsurprisingly, single-game tickets have always been in high demand and disappear fast. Since 2001, they have sold out within the first 15 minutes of the sale's start. Preseason games have sold out within a few days from the

It went down to the final five minutes before negotiations had to cease, but Ray Rice agreed to terms on a reported five-year, $40 million contract with the Ravens on Monday. According to the Carroll County Times, Rice will earn $25 million over the first two years of the deal, including $17 million in Year 1. Had Rice and the Ravens not come to an

As the dead zone of the NFL offseason nears its end, the Ravens have a significant few hours ahead. The team has until 4 p.m. this afternoon to come to terms on a long-term contract with star running back Ray Rice, or he'll have to play this season for the franchise tender worth $7.7 million. Per league rules regarding the franchise tag, the Ravens wouldn't

For the last couple seasons, the debate has raged on. Is Joe Flacco one of the NFL's top 10 quarterbacks? Is he capable of leading the Ravens to their ultimate goal of winning the Super Bowl? In ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Ron Jaworski's mind, the answer to the first question is yes, and the answer to the second has yet to be determined.
