The Ravens made a pair of acquisitions Sunday, signing safety James Ihedigbo and quarterback Dennis Dixon.
Ihedigbo, a 28-year-old who was just cut by the New England Patriots, tweeted that he had signed on with the black and purple:
Ihedigbo had his best season to date with the Patriots in 2011, playing in all 16 games, starting 12, and making 69 tackles.
Dixon was reportedly signed to the Ravens' practice squad after spending his first four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. His first of three career NFL starts came in a 2009 loss to Baltimore.
He is joined on the practice squad by tailback Anthony Allen, safety Omar Brown, linebacker Josh Bynes, offensive lineman Jack Cornell, guard Antoine McClain and two other reported signings - linebacker Adrian Hamilton and safety Anthony Levine.
Update: To make room for Ihedigbo on the roster, the team cut cornerback Danny Gorrer today. Gorrer appeared in 11 games for the Ravens last year.
