So far, we know where one of the Ravens' free agent wide receivers stands regarding his future with the team.
Actually, no, I take that back. We have no idea where Derrick Mason stands.
Mason might be retiring; he might choose to test the free agent waters; he might decide to come back to Baltimore; he might even move on from his playing days and audition to be Poe, the Ravens' mascot.
But Mason isn't the only wide receiver on the roster that GM Ozzie Newsome and the Ravens front office will be checking in with this offseason; there are three other wideouts that will hit free agency in the upcoming weeks as well.
Kelley Washington will join Mason in the unrestricted free agent category while Mark Clayton and Demetrius Williams are both restricted free agents.
Here's what Washington, Clayton and Williams had to say this week about their time with the Ravens and how they see the offseason playing out:
Kelley Washington
On if he thinks he'll look around this offseason: "I'm definitely going to look around. I'm definitely going to put myself in the best situation where I'm going to be out there on the field, not just on third down. I feel I've proven that I can play receiver in this league now, along with special teams.
"I'm going to look out for myself and put myself in the best situation, now that I've worked hard enough to show everyone that I can play consistent football in this league. So I'm excited, I'm excited about free agency and going somewhere where I can really contribute out there on the field playing receiver."
On his time with the Ravens this season: "The Ravens gave me a great opportunity to come in here and play some good football and make the team. They gave me a good chance to be out there on the field playing receiver, so I'm truly thankful for the opportunity that the Ravens have given me.
"I'm just blessed to be a part of a great organization starting from the top all the way down. I had an exciting year, and I'm just thankful for the opportunity they've given me."
Mark Clayton
On his relationship with the Ravens: "We're cool, I enjoy the organization. But at the same time, it's a business, and everything has to be played out. We'll see. I'll make the decision [that's best] for me and my family."
Demetrius Williams
On his time in Baltimore: "There's been some ups and downs. I can't say it's been all great, I can't say it's been all bad. It's been my time, I should say that."
On if he feels like he should've gotten more of a chance: "There were times when I felt there was more I could do, but it didn't work out that way. At this point, we've just got to see what happens in the offseason."
On if he has a feeling that he wants a fresh start elsewhere: "I don't really have a feeling at this point at all. I'm still coming off relaxing [after the Colts loss] and a whole lot of other things. I'm trying to get my mind off this whole football thing totally. So at this point, I'm just not trying to think about football."
