A couple re-signings

After not tendering Edgar Jones a contract two weeks ago, the Ravens announced today that they have re-signed the reserve tight end.

Jones is a solid special teams contributor who provides depth at tight end and also has experience on the defensive side of the ball as a former linebacker.

He will make the veteran minimum, according to multiple reports.

The team also announced that they have re-signed defensive back Marcus Paschal. Paschal bounced back and forth between the practice squad and active roster last season.

Believe it or not, today is also the first day of the team's voluntary offseason workouts.

This comes just two months after the Ravens' 2009 season ended. It's always remarkable to me how short the NFL offseason truly is to the players, many of whom only choose to take a couple weeks off before getting right back to work.
