Marshall out of the picture?

As expected, Julius Peppers found a suitor early.

And as expected, the Ravens didn't make a move right off the bat. But that doesn't mean there isn't any news to pass along.

Despite all the hype surrounding Brandon Marshall and the possibility of him ending up in Baltimore, the Ravens are not seriously considering the troubled wide receiver, according to multiple reports.

The Broncos have placed the first-round tender on Marshall, signaling that they are interested in trading him. The Ravens, however, reportedly are unlikely to give up their top draft choice for the 25-year-old wideout.

Instead, the Ravens might have their eyes on unrestricted free agent receiver Kevin Walter and Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin, who is available via trade.

Reports have the Cards asking for a third-round pick for Boldin, who would also require a new contract if he is dealt.

Walter is of interest to the Ravens because they wouldn't have to give up draft picks to acquire him.

He might come at quite a monetary cost, however. The former Texans wideout is considered the top option on the unrestricted free agent market, so he will likely earn a nice sized deal.
