Since trades are apparently the hot topic in this area recently, I thought I'd mention a little nugget that came out of Ozzie Newsome and Eric DeCosta's press conference that took place last night at the conclusion of the first round.
While the Ravens made a trade yesterday, tried to make another, and have had talks about making yet another deal, there is one area where Newsome says a trade has not been discussed.
Asked if he has received any calls from other teams regarding players currently on the roster, the Ravens' GM replied simply, "No, I have not."
Left tackle Jared Gaither, running back Willis McGahee and wide receiver Mark Clayton have all been mentioned as possible trade chips for the Ravens.
According to Newsome, that's one front where the phones have been quiet.
