Pryce agrees to a pay cut

At one point, it appeared that Trevor Pryce would likely be released this offseason. Now it looks like he'll be sticking around Baltimore for at least another year.

Pryce has taken a $2.5 million pay cut this season, according to The National Football Post's Aaron Wilson. Pryce is now set to earn $2 million in base salary in 2010.

The pay cut means that the 34-year-old probably will stick with the team as part of a rotation at defensive end with Cory Redding.

As you could probably tell by doing some simple math, Pryce originally would have made $4.5 mil this year, which would have been a large chunk of change for a part-time player.

Despite losing his starting job to the now-departed Dwan Edwards last season, Pryce still led the Ravens in sacks with 6.5. This season will be the four-time Pro Bowler 14th year in the NFL.
