The Ravens added two players to their defensive backfield today, signing cornerback Travis Fisher and safety Brad Jones.
Fisher is an eight-year veteran who was a second-round draft pick of the Rams back in 2002. He impressed the coaches during a tryout at last week's minicamp. Here's a piece I wrote last week on the 5-10, 198 pound corner.
Jones is an undrafted rookie out of Cincinnati who also tried out for the Ravens last week. He checks in at 6-feet, 192 pounds and ran a 4.53 40 prior to the draft.
Jones played corner and safety at Cincinnati, where he was teammates with Ravens safety Haruki Nakamura. Jones previously tried out for the Browns.
Talking with Nakamura last week, he said that Jones is a good pick-up. "The kid can play," Nakamura said.
Now, we'll get to see for ourselves.
