Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has only recently returned to his team's offseason workouts after spending most of the last few months participating in "Dancing with the Stars".
Anyone who thought that the ballroom dancing competition would bring out a softer side in Ochocinco and lead him away from the boisterous, trash-talking persona that we've come to know, well, you might want to think again.
Many national media outlets have the Ravens ranked ahead of the Bengals entering the 2010 season. Ochocinco disagrees with those predictions.
"We got better than them," Ochocinco said, according to James Walker of ESPN.com. "They're not better than us. The Ravens? I mean, what have they done? They have some nice draft picks. But we have people that can come in right now and be effective."
The Ravens' made a few big additions to their offense this year, most notably Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin. That move apparently didn't impress Ochocinco.
"Yeah, that's my homeboy, but then Anquan Boldin has to go against the No. 4 defense that was ranked last year," Ochocinco said. "Last time I checked, we destroyed their defense. We added to ours, but we still have the better defense."
The Bengals swept the Ravens in the regular season last year on their way to the AFC North title, but Cincinnati was bounced by the Jets in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
The Ravens, as we all know, won their opening round game in New England before falling to the Colts in the Divisional Round.
We won't have to wait long to see these two teams square off this year; the Ravens travel to Cincinnati to face their division rivals in Week 2.
