Ravens sign fifth-round DT Arthur Jones

The Ravens have signed one of their seven draft picks, agreeing to terms with defensive tackle Arthur Jones on a three-year deal.

Jones was the Ravens' second fifth-round pick, taken one spot behind WR David Reed. The 6-3, 305 pound defensive tackle played his college ball at Syracuse and was projected as high as a late first-round pick after his junior season.

He opted to return to school for his senior year, but tore both a pectoral muscle and his left meniscus during the year, which led to his fall to the fifth-round.

Jones started 32 of the 44 games that he played at Syracuse, recording 145 tackles, 38.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and four fumble recoveries in his career.

According to The National Football Post's Aaron Wilson, Jones is set to earn standard base salaries of $320,000, $405,000 and $490,000.
