Which rookies will stand out this week?

Another day has gone by and Billy Cundiff is still the only kicker on the Ravens' roster.

Don't expect that to be the case for much longer.

There's still no official word on Shayne Graham to pass along, although the former Bengals kicker will almost surely become a Raven sometime soon. You can bet head coach John Harbaugh will get asked about Graham after today's minicamp, and I'll pass along his comments.

This week is rookie camps, which means that for the Ravens' six draft picks and 10 undrafted free agents, the next few days could be crucial in their efforts to make an impression on the coaching staff as they try to earn a roster spot.

Both today and tomorrow's practices are open to the media, so I'll be out in Owings Mills keeping you posted on all the action.

While these sessions will obviously be important for all of the rookies, here are five that could really use the one-on-one time with the coaches to their advantage:

Mike McLaughlin, FB, 6-0, 245
The former Boston College linebacker has a difficult task ahead of him as he learns a new position, but he's fits a fullback's mentality to a "T". McLaughlin is very physical and loves contact, and with Le'Ron McClain not around this week, he will get some extra on the job advice from the coaches.

John Fletcher, DL, 6-6, 265
Fletcher is one of the more intriguing undrafted free agents because he has good size and could help add depth to the Ravens' pass rush. He had a sack during last week's minicamp and has shown a good motor so far.

Prince Miller, CB, 5-8, 198
Miller's size is a bit of a concern, but he's a versatile guy because of his special teams abilities. The Georgia product is in the mix as a kick returner, and with Chris Carr and the other returners gone this week, he can show Harbaugh and special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg what he can do.

Curtis Steele, RB, 6-0 190
Steele is another interesting guy - he was incredibly productive in college, posting back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons at Memphis and averaging 6.3 yards per carry last year. He faces a tough challenge this summer because the Ravens have a full backfield, but is clearly talented and could shine this week as the lone running back on the field.

Ramon Harewood, T, 6-6, 340
Harewood injured some tissue in his knee during the Ravens' first minicamp, but said that he should be back in 3-4 weeks. It's now three and a half weeks later, and if Harewood is healthy enough to return to practice, the Ravens' sixth-round pick will be able to get some quality on-job training as the only offensive tackle on the field.
