The Ravens have signed their final selection in the 2010 Draft, offensive tackle Ramon Harewood, according to multiple reports.
Harewood, a sixth-round pick, has agreed to a three-year deal. He played his college ball at Morehouse and is the first ever NFL draft pick from Barbados.
He's relatively new to football; the now 6-6, 340 pound Harewood grew up playing rugby, cricket, volleyball and soccer, but was discovered at a college fair in Barbados and was encouraged to start playing football.
He moved to America in January of 2006 on a full academic scholarship to Morehouse.
Harewood suffered an injury to his knee tissue during the Ravens' opening minicamps, but he has recovered since then and has said he will be fine for training camp.
"Harewood is a huge man," Ravens director of college scouting Joe Hortiz said after the draft. "I mean he's a giant. You guys are going to see him - he's massive. He can knock down his side of the line of scrimmage.
"He's raw. He needs a lot of developmental work and technique, but he's got foot speed. He ran a 5.08 at his pro day. He didn't go to the Combine, and he got hurt when he ran on his pro day, but that's another story. He's got a lot of work to do, but he's got the passion and drive to get better."
Harewood is now the fourth Ravens draft pick to sign, joining defensive lineman Arthur Jones, tight end Dennis Pitta and wide receiver David Reed.
