A number of Ravens start on PUP

The Ravens had a fairly lengthy group of guys start training camp on Physically Unable to Perform list.

In addition to Terrence Cody and Walt Harris, who failed their conditioning tests, safety Ed Reed, cornerback Fabian Washington, cornerback Lardarius Webb, linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, offensive tackle Oniel Cousins, running back Matt Lawrence, cornerback Prince Miller and wide receiver Rodelin Anthony all did not practice today and will begin camp on PUP.

Washington and Webb, or the ACL twins as I like to call them, watched practice together while standing near the cornerbacks (as you might be able to see from the blurry BlackBerry photo at right). Webb was sporting a brace on his surgically-repaired right knee.

Cousins said that he had a cyst removed from his throat, which is the reason for his absence. He expects to be back within about a week.

"I'm getting better every day," he said. "Just trying to improve every day and get my strength back and my conditioning back. Overall, I'm healing real good.

"I'm just conditioning myself and getting myself back in football mode and getting ready to roll."

Anthony said that he has a knee injury which kept him out of today's session.
