On the day before Ravens training camp is set to begin, there is some troubling news to report on rookie linebacker Sergio Kindle.
Kindle, a second-round pick out of Texas, reportedly fell down two flights of stairs at his home and suffered a head injury. He is currently in the hospital and is in stable condition.
"Members of our medical staff, including Bill Tessendorf and Dr. Andy Tucker, have spoken with doctors in Texas. We understand Sergio is stable at this time and that he is being tested and observed," Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome said in a statement.
Kindle, who has yet to reach terms with the Ravens on a contract, will not report to training camp tomorrow.
I obviously will pass along more details as they become known.
