A few injury updates

Fabian Washington missed practice today, but don't freak out, the cornerback doesn't have any problems with his surgically-repaired knee.

It was actually bruised ribs which kept Washington out of practice this morning, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

"[We] felt like we just need to rest that a little bit," Harbaugh said.

Offensive tackle Oniel Cousins said that he's progressing from a concussion which has held him out of practice the last couple weeks, but he still has not been cleared to practice as of yet.

Cousins has been doing some light jogging and riding on a stationary bike, but he says he still has some headaches. The third-year tackle said he's not sure if he'll be able to play in Thursday's preseason finale.

"I don't know," Cousins said. "I've just got to play it out and see how I feel. I'm getting better every day."

Harbaugh seemed to have a positive outlook when asked about Cousins' status after today's practice.

"I'm really hopeful for Oniel," Harbaugh said. "That's a game that he really needs to play. He's missed so much with the OTAs and now again in training camp. He's got a chance to be such a good player, so we're hoping to get him out there. I think he's got a good chance."

Wide receiver Eron Riley says his lower back is feeling better, and he was able to return to practice this morning after missing the last handful of days.

If he stays in good shape health-wise, the Duke product could be in line for significant playing time on Thursday with Donte' Stallworth out, Mark Clayton likely joining him on the sidelines, and the Ravens' starters scheduled to get very limited reps.
