I was a bit surprised that the Ravens coaches left Joe Flacco in to start the second quarter.
He had gotten a full 15 minutes of work, had connected with all three of his top wide receivers, and already been tossed to the turf on two occasions.
Flacco only needed six second-quarter plays to finish his work for the night.
Flacco hit Mark Clayton for a beautiful 30-yard touchdown pass, capping a drive in which the Ravens' quarterback went 6-for-6 for 79 yards and the TD.
The touchdown came on a go-route, and Flacco lofted the ball high in the air for his speedy wide receiver. Clayton turned, found the ball, and out-jumped the Panthers cornerback for the pass.
10-0 Ravens. Have a seat, Joe.
UPDATE: Flacco is done for the night.
His numbers: 8-for-12, 120 yards and a TD. That's a QB rating of 127.1.
That'll do, I guess.
