Think Haruki Nakamura is fully recovered from his gruesome leg injury last year?
I have a hunch he might be just fine.
Nakamura showed off his surgically-repaired wheels on a fake punt, taking a direct snap from Morgan Cox and motoring 51 yards to the Washington 1-yard-line.
The third-year safety juked out linebacker H.B. Blades near the line of scrimmage, then had room to run for days. He pulled out more nasty hesitation move late in the run which might have left wide receiver Brandon Banks' jock on the turf, and was finally tackled just shy of the Redskins goal line.
On the next play, Willis McGahee dove into the end zone, just breaking the plane, to give the Ravens a 10-3 lead.
The starters are slowly starting to leave the game now as we approach halftime.
Joe Flacco's night is over, as Marc Bulger has made his way into the Ravens huddle. Flacco's final numbers: 9-of-16 for 72 yards. That's good for a 67.7 quarterback rating.
Not Pro Bowl numbers, but not atrocious either.
