Your latest news on Gaither's health

A few months ago, Jared Gaither saw a foot specialist when toe issues kept him off the practice field.

Now, Gaither is seeing a back specialist because spasms are apparently what's holding him out of practice.

The Ravens' offensive tackle has seen more doctors than he has snaps in the last handful of months, and today, he saw Dr. Carbone to try and figure out what's causing the spasms in the middle of his back.

Head coach John Harbaugh said that while he hasn't gotten a full report on Gaither yet, the team has been told that Gaither's situation isn't considered serious.

"It's just something he's got to fight through," Harbaugh said. "It's unfortunate because he's competing for that spot, and you've got to stack practices. That's what the competition is all about.

"But Jared's a hard worker, and we've just got to get him on the field and get him going and he'll be fine."
