After nearly throwing a pick-six on his first pass of the game and hearing some boo's from the crowd after a three-and-out, Joe Flacco has rounded back into the form that Ravens fans hope they'll see from their quarterback the rest of the season.
Trailing the Browns 3-0 mid-way through the first quarter, Flacco led the Ravens on a 10-play, 85-yard drive that he capped with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin.
Flacco went 5-of-7 for 52 yards and the TD on the drive, hitting four different receivers and moving the Ravens down the field with ease. The Ravens now have a 7-3 lead after one quarter of play.
It's just one drive, but after last week's four interception performance, getting a TD pass under his belt here today is huge for Flacco.
The touchdown reception by Boldin was the 600th catch of his career.
The eight-year veteran, who has now played in 98 games, set an NFL record with the catch, as he is now the fastest player in NFL history to 600 catches.
He bests Marvin Harrison's previous record; it took Harrison 102 games to reach the 600 reception mark.
Boldin told Ravens staffers before the game that he wanted to keep the ball that he reeled in for his 600th catch, but Boldin got caught up in the moment after the touchdown, and tossed the ball to a fan.
Ravens director of media relations Chad Steele made sure to get the ball back, however, as he sprinted down the sideline - and I mean sprinted - and retrieved the ball from the fan.
