Not exactly an ideal start

This is not what the Ravens were expecting when they opted to start Marshal Yanda at right tackle tonight.

On the Ravens' first offensive play from scrimmage, Yanda was burned by Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis, who broke past the offensive tackle and absolutely leveled Joe Flacco.

Flacco fumbled the ball, and the Jets recovered inside the Baltimore 20-yard line.

The fact that the Ravens' quarterback is still alive is a miracle. He absolutely got destroyed by Ellis, and linebacker Bryan Thomas provided a hit from the backside as well. If you weren't already aware, now you are - Flacco is a tough dude.

The defense held tough, forcing a chip shot Jets field goal, but this is not the start to the season that John Harbaugh was hoping for.
