With a brutally physical game on the line in the second half, the Ravens turned to one of their new weapons, and their reliable old one, to earn a big 10-9 road win over the Jets.
Anquan Boldin, brought in this season to give new life to the Baltimore passing attack, did just that, making seven catches for 110 yards, including two big-time grabs in traffic for 65 total yards on a crucial third-down drive which resulted in the eventual game-winning field goal.
Along with Boldin's magic on offense, the Ravens leaned heavily on their defense, as they have so many times in the past.
The Baltimore pass defense was exceptional from start to finish, holding Mark Sanchez to 10-of-21 passing for 74 yards, and sacking the second-year quarterback twice.
The Ravens held New York to 1-of-11 on third down conversions, and came up big time and time again in the second half.
Wonder who'll be doing the trash talking tomorrow?
