Rice, Redding upgraded; Gaither downgraded

While RB Ray Rice and DE Cory Redding took a positive step today, T Jared Gaither took a step backward.

Rice (knee) and Redding (concussion) returned to practice in a limited capacity today after sitting out Wednesday's session. This is obviously good news for both players with the Ravens' divisional matchup with the Steelers just three days away.

Rerserve T/G Tony Moll (hip) also was upgraded to limited participation today after missing yesterday's practice.

Meanwhile, Gaither (back) did not practice today, a day after returning to the practice fields for the first time since Aug. 5. LB Edgar Jones (thigh) also did not practice today.

CB Chris Carr (thigh) was a new addition to the injury report today. He joined Rice, Redding and Moll in the "limited" category, as did LB Jarret Johnson (back).

C Matt Birk (back), G Chris Chester (back) and TE Todd Heap (shoulder) all had a full practice.

The Steelers' injury report looks exactly as it did yesterday; QB Dennis Dixon (knee), G Trai Essex (ankle) and DT Chris Hoke (knee) all did not participate in today's practice.
