Todd Heap suffered a shoulder strain when he stretched out to make a big fourth quarter catch in last night's win over the Jets, but head coach John Harbaugh said today that the injury isn't expected to sideline the Ravens' tight end this week.
"He should practice tomorrow," Harbaugh said. "We'll see as the week goes on. If it flares up and he doesn't practice, that will be a red flag, but it looks like he's OK. It was a great catch."
Harbaugh also touched on the status of cornerback Lardarius Webb, who was listed as one of the Ravens' gameday inactives last night.
Webb has been practicing with the team since coming off the Physically Unable to Perform list three weeks ago, but his surgically-repaired knee still hasn't healed to the point that he can return to game action.
"It's a healing process," Harbaugh said. "We've said before, we don't want to rush those guys back. We didn't want to rush Fabian [Washington] back. Fabian we had to really hold back. Lardarius, between he and the doctors and what we see, we're just going to take it slow. We want it to be right when he comes back."
What are the chances that the second-year cornerback suits up this Sunday against the Bengals?
"I thought he had a chance to play last week and he wasn't able to do it at the end," Harbaugh said. "I think he's got a chance to do it this week. Whether he can do it or not...it's going to be his decision in the end."
Wrapping up the injury notes, Harbaugh said he did not have an update on rookie linebacker Sergio Kindle, who was in Baltimore over a week ago for neurological tests.
