There's a huge college football game on today, and I'm not talking about Alabama-Florida or the Jim Harbaugh-led Stanford Cardinal facing Oregon.
I'm talking, of course, about No. 5 Delaware traveling down to Harrisonburg to take on No. 3 James Madison.
My Blue Hens will have a chance to go to 5-0 and jump out on top of the rest of the CAA.
I'm sure all of you will be watching intently.
In general, Ravens fans don't particularly care for Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward.
Ward is talented and has been very successful in his 13-year career, making four Pro Bowls and having six seasons of over 1,000 receiving yards. But it's not necessarily his accomplishments that usually frustrate most of the Charm City faithful.
It's his seemingly brash personality and in-your-face attitude.
Ward's personality hasn't earned him many fans in the Baltimore area, but it's his emotion and passion for the game that makes Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis appreciate his rival, even when they're squaring off against each other on Sundays.
"Hines Ward is one of the true professionals," Lewis said this week. "He plays the game with a smile most of the time - pisses most people off. But, anytime that you can play the game with that type of emotion and control, intensity, then do it. Then do it. That's why he's been around so long. He came from Georgia playing like that, and he's still playing like that now.
"You have to tip your hat off to a guy like that. When he's not playing, that's when you tip your hat off to him. When you're playing him, you're looking for him."
Oh, you better look for Ward, alright, because if you don't, he might take your head off with one of his patented crack-back blocks.
As for Ward's smile, Lewis says there is a way to knock the grin off the wide receiver's face.
"Hit him. Easy," said the Ravens linebacker, drawing laughs from the assembled media. "That's a way to knock a smile off anybody's face on the football field."
