Quick Friday injury updates

Fabian Washington missed practice yesterday with an illness, but the Ravens' starting cornerback was back at practice today and head coach John Harbaugh said that Washington should be good to play against the Broncos on Sunday.

"Yeah, he's OK, he just had a little tweak," Harbaugh said. "He's fine."

Harbaugh commented on the injury situation surrounding offensive tackle Jared Gaither, who said Wednesday that he hasn't been medically cleared to practice following his trip to Dr. Robert Watkins in Los Angeles.

"It's frustrating for everybody," Harbaugh said. "Frustrating for us, frustrating for Jared, frustrating for Bill [Tessendorf, head athletic trainer] and the guys that are trying to do the training because they've been pushing this thing hard based on protocol since the first time that they had an issue. Nothing is making it better in Jared's mind as far as how it feels, which is tough. So, there's something going on there.

"But we haven't heard from Dr. Watkins yet, as of going on the practice field, so I don't really know. So, to comment on it wouldn't really be right. Hopefully there's some good news as far as knowing what we can do to make it better, and maybe we have it now, but as of before practice, he hadn't contacted Bill T. or our doctors yet."

Linebacker Jason Phillips didn't practice today, but Harbaugh said he doesn't believe that Phillips' absence is related to an injury.

"I don't know about Jason," Harbaugh said. "I didn't get any word on that, so I don't think it's an injury."
