With the 2000 Super Bowl team coming onto the field for the Ravens' pregame introductions and the return of Ed Reed, I'll make the claim that this was the most excited I've seen an M&T Bank Stadium crowd for a non-playoff game.
Forget a Steelers game, forget a home game against the Colts. This place was absolutely hoppin' just prior to kickoff.
Over 30 players from the 2000 Super Bowl championship team are in attendance, and they walked out of the tunnel as a group and formed a gauntlet for the current Ravens players to run through.
Reed was the second-to-last player to get introduced, and as he came out of the tunnel, the 70,000-plus went nuts with chants of "Re-eeeeeeed".
They kinda like him here.
The six-time Pro Bowler responded by pounding his chest, putting his hands up in a "U" formation, and pointing up to the fans.
As is always the case on days when the defense gets the individual intros, Ray Lewis was the last out of the tunnel, and his teammates from the 2000 season crowded around as Lewis did his "Hot in Hur" dance.
The former Ravens had out their cameras taking videos and pictures of the dance, and a few of them were jokingly pushing each other around getting pumped up.
Some of those guys seriously looked like they were ready to strap on the pads and play.
Just a great scene prior to kickoff today.
